The Excellence in Operations Award
CRITERIA
Each nominee institution, department, or individual will be judged by the committee and
considered based on the following criteria:
- Illustration of why the nominee should be recognized for outstanding achievements
and/or best practices. Institutions should include a description of their operation
and/or program along with supporting documentation, including promotional
material.
- Contact list of individuals involved with your department or project.
- Letters of recommendations from a senior member of Student Affairs Department
AND/OR a student governance body (SGA, Student Senate, etc.), detailing the
impact of this operation/program on the campus community and their support in
recognizing this operation/program.

AWARD TIMELINE AND DEADLINES
February 2009
Excellence in Operations Award nominations will be available online
and sent via email to the membership.
May 15, 2009
Award Nominations and supporting documentation due by 3:00 p.m.
June 2009
Housing and Facilities Operations Committee will propose recommendations for awards to MACUHO E‐Board.
July 2009
Housing and Facilities Operations Committee will announce winners and invite staff members to annual
conference. Excellence in Operations / Best Innovative Practices Award Winners will also be asked to help
present at the annual conference.
